Flickr contributor ccandumplins shows us a new perspective of "The Awakening" in its new resting place by the National Harbor. While many had opinions about where it should or shouldn't go, at least it's given photographers many new ways to shoot the popular giant statue.

Great shot but at the wrong angle for it to be "Squishing his head".

And the woman looking down is like, "Mmmmmmmm....and I though his hands were big! He really must like it over here!"

DC ought to comission a replacement Awakening statue for Hains Point, except it should be a Mrs. Awakening with her bubble butt sticking way up in the air and a pair of hooker heels on her pointy feet. AW, yeah.

 

i believe the original Awakening statue is the Washington Monument.
