Photo of the Day: April 16, 2008

Flickr user akkleis took a photo of this kissy couple at last weekend's Japan Street Festival. She said about the image:

It was a busy street with tons of people and they were just there making out in the middle of it. I wanted to get the feel of fast movement around them while they stood still, but, alas, I didn't quite capture what I was hopeing for.

We sure like what came out anyway. A few commenters compared it to Alfred Eisenstaedt's famous V-J Day Kiss, and while it might not be so timeless, it's always nice to draw inspiration from such classics.
