Avoid the Wilson Bridge this Weekend
Major roadwork is scheduled on the Outer Loop starting Friday night and lasting until Sunday afternoon, which will reduce traffic to one lane in preparation for next week's shift to moving traffic onto the second span of the Wilson Bridge.
In addition to the lane closures, ramps at the Route 1 Interchange to and from the Outer Loop will be closed, and detours from the Telegraph Road Interchange and the Springfield Interchange will be in place.
Traffic is being moved from three current Outer Loop lanes on and surrounding the bridge to three newly constructed lanes, with the old lanes scheduled to reopen at the end of the year. It may be confusing for drivers next week when they are directed into the new lanes.
Bottom line: if you can avoid the Wilson Bridge and surrounding areas of the Outer Loop this weekend, you should.

I'm annoyed that the express lanes aren't done yet. Shifting three lanes back and forth is nice and all, but we need NEED more lanes.
They should just issue a statement that reads: "avoid the wilson bridge always and forever. If you need it to get to work, get another place to live or a new job you moron."
