I read Harmony Korine and Vincent Gallo hate eachothers guts because they were both "dating" Chloe Sevigny. They're always getting into public spats. They're like the Gore Vidal and Norman Mailer of the indie film ghetto, except more pretentious, if such a thing is possible. I'd pay cash money for a film of them thrashing eachother with socks filled with manure. Get Michael Bay to direct. He'd be able to stretch it out for 3 hours of jumpcuts with lots of s**t exploding.

Boondoggle- Much as I hated Julien Donkey-boy, I was not sorry that I'd watched it. I really can't say the same about the last two directorial efforts from the Wachowskis. Plus I'll cop to a personal affinity for seeing what's up Werner Herzog's sleeve anytime he decides to step in front of the camera.

I can see leaving Speed Racer off the guide because it looks awful. But it can't be any worse than something from Harmony Korine. Independent crap does not trump big budget crap.

Classic that it is, I find it difficult to watch Annie Hall and particularly Manhattan, knowing what we do about the Woodman's personal life. There's times I wish he didn't put so much of himself into the work, particularly the whole pedophilia part. And we'd all be better off if Harmony Korine would just give the camera to Werner Herzog and take a long sabbatical off a short pier.
