Ice Creampocalypse: Day 4 @ Dunkin' Donuts
Technically, today isn't a true ice cream giveaway. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Dunkin' Donuts is giving away 16 oz. cups of their regular or new "Berry Berry-flavored" iced coffee. And, as with any promotional giveaway these days, a donation of $5000 will be made, this time to the Washington D.C. Police Athletic League for its youth leadership program.
The connection to ice cream? Many DD locations are paired up with Baskin-Robbins. With today's temperature expected to reach into the 70s, it is a great day to pickup an iced coffee and ice cream cone and bask in the sun. Based on the Dupont Circle location, expect lines to be short or non-existent. Other locations include: L'Enfant Plaza, Columbia Heights, Eastern Market, Shaw-Howard, and others.

Berry-flavored coffee???
Eeeeeew.
I thought the same thing
mmm, i haven't had Dunkin' coffee in ages. this is totally worth the trip up the street.
Is it me, or is that location search the worst ever?
Delish. I heart Dunks. Staple of my childhood, where they are mile-markers on Route 1 in Massachusetts.
Well, technically, the coffee bean is a "berry." But I figure this is geared towards the people who want their beer to taste like raspberries and their women to look like 13-year-old boys.
berry flavored coffee does sound absolutely disgusting, but they do offer more palatable options such as "French vanilla."
do they have coffee flavored berries? now that is something i'd like to try. for free of course.
do they have coffee flavored berries?
As a matter of fact, they do. Unfortunately, they dingle and are embedded with corn and pieces of half-digested celery.

kind of like your mom?
j/k, Monkey. congrats on the grossest comment of the day year. bravo.
I have to admit I didn't think there'd be too much use for the Ice Creampocalypse moniker but DCist got a mile out it.
Way to go! Too bad there couldn't be crude drawings to go with it.
Gee, I don't know. An iced coffee and an ice cream cone is probably the last thing anyone around here needs.
How about a free trip to the gym? Or some Perrier?
I support your love for Dunks, Drew, although I wasn't feeling it when I unexpectedly received one of those gnarly berry coffees by mistake the other day. Don't know if that's a marketing ploy or just incompetence, but it was just as gross as everyone is imagining.
Just in case anyone was wondering, the first ever Dunkin' Donuts actually looks just like any other Dunkies, sadly.
