About two months ago, my daughter and I went to a fundraiser for this, which included a screening of Girls Rock! The Movie. She was absolutely blown away, as was I. Her application to Girls Rock! DC is pending.

Why don't we just continue teaching them what all DC girls know.... get fat, get pregnant multiple times with multiple fathers, collect public assistance, bitch and complain about that assistance while smoking crack, then kill all your kids, leave them in a bath tub and sue the city for millions

I wish I could volunteer to teach young ladies to beat-match and use turntables generally, but they won't let me because I'm a boy. I understand that's the right thing to do for this situation.

i'm with you, sommer. i want to go. i envision disguising myself in teen costume (maybe some of those awful cheesy t-shirts with words like "brat" and, i don't know, "snarky" on them) and sneaking in. something similar to the plot line of 'bosom buddies.'
