Pit bulls trained or raised to "go wonky" do that, usually when there are specific triggers...but normal dogs, including pit bulls, typically don't do that for no reason at all.

Didn't the DC city council consider banning certain dog breeds (i.e. pit bulls, Rotweilers, etc) last year? Does anyone know what happened with that?

That pit bull story doesn't seem to add up...she was walking the dog, her boyfriend's pet, down the street and it just started attacking her? I'm not saying it's not true, it just seems like there's a piece missing. Did something happen earlier to agitate the dog?
