Well color us a little embarrassed. But only a little. After Matt Yglesias linked to our post complaining about how D.C., along with a handful of other states, had been left out of the state-specific shirts available at store.barackobama.com, a commenter at his site pointed out that he had found the correct url to order a "District of Columbia for Obama" T-shirt through a little legwork -- just finessing the url until he stumbled upon the right one. The shirt still isn't included on the main state shirt page of the Obama online store, however. Should we have been able to figure out that it was hidden there all along? Perhaps. Should we have had to? At the very least, it's sloppy web design.
Of course, now that we've cleared up the D.C. for Obama state shirt matter, another commenter at Yglesias's place puts things into perspective.

Doesn't change the fact they can't vote in the general election, so this is a non-issue.

Just went looking for a Virginia shirt and managed to find the VA page. Interestingly, there's no picture, though the page clearly states it's for the VA shirt.
It also stated that the VA shirts were backordered so perhaps this is a case of the store not showing shirts that currently aren't available. I've seen a lot of other online stores do this. Then again, DC doesn't say it's backordered like VA does, so who knows?
Blech...why do they have to be white? No one but brides and little girls should wear white...even in t-shirts....
They are back ordered on a lot of sizes too...
They are also missing Louisiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Washington. Seriously messed up.
No reason to be embarrassed.
The shirt should be on the main page and you shouldn't have to do any sleuth work to find it. Though I've found some nice pictures doing that in the past, but um anyway.
Only size large is available. Obama hates fat and skinny people.
