At long last, Metro has released another YouTube video. In March it was Peeps trying to convince you not to drive to Nationals stadium, and in April it was the Pope Benedict XVI bobblehead that went over so poorly Metro actually pulled it down a day later. This time around, WMATA is hoping a kung fu theme will help remind you not to leave your newspaper behind on Metrorail cars or Metrobuses. We've wondered whether proper etiquette says you should leave your Express behind on Metro for someone else to read before. Metro video verdict: less creepy than the Pope video, but not nearly as charming as the Peeps.

so, do you get word of these videos via a press release?
pretty damn cool...unfortunately, i don't know if the "leaving the paper behind" demographic is going to be reached via youtube...
I totally disagree on this. It's probably sponsored by WaPo to boost their circulation numbers. I think a neatly folded paper is fine to leave on the seat after you leave. I miss BART's open top recycling bins. That way I could rummage through and find a paper. But again, that doesn't help the circ numbers. It does, however, cut down on trees killed in the first place.
This is a really silly ad!
Oh, Metro. Much like the guy who takes a woman to Oyamel and the Kennedy Center on a first date, you will never be able to live up to the standard you set with the Peeps video.
You should have started with this video, which is more of an Alero/Uptown Theater video.
It was just okay till he made the numchucks (sp?) out of the paper...that made me laugh.
Um...In the meantime, can we talk about the shambles that is the Recycle Master's outfit? Someone needs to recycle that sh*t. Or just burn it. We can start the fire with all of the perfectly fine papers left on the metro.
video no longer available!?
NOT AGAIN, METRO!
And I'm Kwai Chang Kane. I seek water.
oh, just kidding. it's working now.
it's SOOOO bad! aaahh! my eyes!
Paper in the metro tunnels cause fires. Fires cause shutdowns. So when you leave your paper behind, you screw everyone else. Or worse. The King's Cross Fire in London in the 80's was partly caused by paper on the tracks. Something like 30 people died.
