Photo of the Day: July 1, 2008

"What a whimsical shot of someone's unmentionables!," says commenter (and yesterday's PotD winner) c00lmarie about this shot. Flickr user Hoffmann found these colorful undies hanging from a line at last weekend's Crafty Bastards fair at Pyramid Atlantic in Silver Spring and made it into a little downhome slice of Americana, set off against the gorgeous blue sky. And also reminds me, I need to stop at Target on my way home for some laundry detergent... EXIF.

Kinda reminds me of the opening of Blue Velvet. Except, y'know, with yellow underwear.
Come to think of it, everything reminds me of Blue Velvet except with yellow underwear.

it looks like someone went a little overboard with the tie-die machine. and based on the top to bottom ratio of those unmentionables, it's time to lay off the venti frappuccinos with extra whipped cream.
oh, and yeah. cool photo.

Well there's a lesson for all you youngsters just getting into urolagnia: take the clothes off first.
Believe me, I have to re-learn that lesson every time it's asparagus fest at Old Europe.

I need me some of those. I let your imagination guess which ones.

The small bit of vertical fence post in the upper right-hand corner is a bit distracting. Good photo, nonetheless.

Ah, asparagus fest at Old Europe! Always a great time. Too bad I need a gas mask after drinking liters of beer.

Cranky, it's called "pyroflatulation." Price of admission is a Bic lighter and your stench problems are history. And you can barely hear the report with the oompah band blaring "Down Where the Wurtzburger Flows." But yeah, cabbage and beer in the Old Europe basement. I'm surprised there's still paint on the walls.
