Beach%20Drive%20tunnel.jpg

Can you guess where this is? No, it's not the German countryside - it's our very own District of Columbia. Flickr user philliefan99 caught this spectacular overhead of the Beach Drive tunnel through Rock Creek Park from the heights of the Duke Ellington Bridge. What, you mean you've never stopped to take a peek while rushing over to Adams Morgan for your Sunday morning hangover-cure of choice? (We have a feeling that this shot's accompanying contrast might be a view of the tunnel which many of you have seen more often.) EXIF.

chances are, if you stop and look for that view, you're going to have the MPD there yelling at you not to jump...

That's a good point. How do you get that shot? Ladder? Jetpants? Camera on a stick?

cactus jack: Lean over as far as you can and be sure to use your wrist strap. I've got a pretty flippin' sweet picture of the view from either this or the bridge on Mass Ave; maybe one of these days I'll post it to flickr so everyone can ooh and aah over it.

All I did was stick the lens between the bars.

one of the advantages of walking across the bridge every morning is to watch the seasons change. unfortunately, the only experience I get during this time of year is buckets of sweat.

Why would you go to Adams Morgan for a hangover cure? Isn't it Adams Morgan that caused the hangover in the first place?

Yes Bob, you're right. Actually they are headed in reverse direction over to Open City for the hangover cure.

Wow I love this picture so much! I used to live on Brown went through there so many times. Its so beautiful over there. :)
