good addition, hillrat. just seems like any big city in this country should be able to support an -ist site, and i'm wondering why there aren't more. are we an abberation here? (wait, don't answer that....)

where's the -ist for atlanta, or the twin cities, or portland? I have a friend in Denver that was lamenting the lack of a good local blog too.

it makes me wonder why the -ist empire hasn't expanded to some other cities that have a decent number of tech-savvy people who wouldn't mind spending inordinate amounts of time commenting on a blog like this. where's the -ist for atlanta, or the twin cities, or portland?
