Just was watching the "Project Song" video that they made for NPR and man, you could see a break-up coming in the first two minutes of that video - just listen to them bicker while selecting the inspiration for the song they were about to write.

Serves them right, what with neither one of them being called "Georgie" or "James". Things never work out for such misleadingly titled bands. There was no Lynyrd in Skynyrd; and thus God smote them. No Hootie nor Blowfish; thus they were punished by being a bar-band that sold millions of records, made videos with Dan Marino, and eventually faded away into the mists of the late-90s to count their money. Wait a minute...

heh, just saw their album in the record store next door to st. ex yesterday. was thinking it might be interesting to actually see them live. oh well.
