Hey Rickey You're So Fine

Last night was the D.C. Craft Bartender's Guild's Rickey Party at Bourbon, where 10 local bartenders put on a show based around the Gin Rickey. The drinks were served in stages throughout the night. Central bar manager Justin Guthrie's Black Pepper Gin Rickey took both the judges' vote and voters' favorite.

The recently convened D.C. Craft Bartender's Guild is still in the formative stages, but another big event is planned for Repeal Day on December 5. If the success of this event is any indication, you should go ahead and mark your calendars now.

Todd was one of the judges. Don't think he participated. Probably because his take on the rickey would kick everyone's ass.

All I was told was that it would be big...I imagine they're still working out the logistics, since it's still several months from now.
