  • Three D.C. police officers and pedestrian were injured Tuesday night while police were responding to reports of a large, unruly crowd in the 4400 block of Ponds Street NE. A police cruiser swerved to avoid striking a pedestrian and instead struck a trash bin. Two officers and pedestrian were injured by the bin, and a third officer was injured trying to arrest a combative prisoner. None of the injuries were life threatening. [NBC4]

Um, I've been on my couch drunk, in shorts... does that mean I qualify to play for the Nationals? At least I'd run for the bases like it was my friggin job. Not like some of the lackluster "playing" I've seen this year. Go Phillies

So that's why my Chinese food never got here last night.

That's pretty much standard practice for most deliverymen: eat the delivery, pass out, get a job someplace else. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Large, unruly crowd? That's most of DC, isn't it?

re: trash bin officers

larry moe and curly anyone?
