  • Bad day? Don't worry. The world's probably going to end on Sept. 10 anyway. [Ars Technica]
  • This afternoon's weird thunderstorm in the northern part of the city included hail and knocked over several large trees. Some people reported seeing a tornado, but no one has been able to confirm that one touched down. [WJLA]

One-third of the newly diagnosed patients have full-blown AIDS, the clinic said.

can you get AIDS that way? i thought you could only get it from kissing.

Regarding the thunderstorm, I'd be willing to believe a small tornado hit. I came home from work to find the patio umbrella we'd accidentally left up blown all the way to the other side of the patio, the table it had formerly shaded was in pieces and various other relatively heavy items which had withstood other thunderstorms scattered, tipped over, and just generally blown about.

I'm pretty sure there was a tornado since I had been in Kansas moments before the storm hit.

Yeah, yeah. I know it sucked. Go junkpunch someone who cares.

I love the post title. I have the Carmen Sandiego theme song stuck in my head now.

"Do it, Rockapella!"

All those guys need are some red-striped barbershop quartet outfits, curly waxed moustaches, and straw boater caps and they'd have a license to print money.

Cranky, you gotta read between the lines, Man! It was the AIDS that caused the tornado!
