What does it accomplish that Flickr in and of itself does not, or does less well? it takes all the pics on a certain webpage (or google image search) and streams them into a virtual 3D wall that you scroll through. It's very fluid and let's you review pics at a much faster rate. you don't have to keep hitting "next" at the bottom of the page. It's just a infinite wall of results. plus, it looks really cool.

PicLens looks intriguing. What does it accomplish that Flickr in and of itself does not, or does less well? Does it save a bunch of clicks and keystrokes? I'm one of these people who doesn't "get" things like RSS feeds, so please feel free to dumb any responses down to my level.

I have always enjoyed that installation. I have a similar picture from one of my random, long Sunday afternoon photo hunting neighborhood walks. The art serves as a great ad / attention-grabber for the unique retail joint beneath it. Great minds, as they say.
