Gelatopocalpyse with Ciao Bella

gelato.jpgBig companies, we dare you to give away more free stuff this summer. We triple dog dare you. But this one is pretty good, at least for those folks living in Virginia. Multi-day, multi-location free gelato from Ciao Bella, a New York-based gelateria, whose pints retail for around $3-4.

Aside from the traditional gelato flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and hazelnut, you can go lighter with blood orange, coconut, or blackberry cabernet sorbetto. And who doesn't love those little spoons?

Someone should probably mention the new yogurt place going into the old miss pixies spot.

DCist has shown me the first good reason why one might want to live in VA...

Their Key Lime Pie converted me.

the blood orange is AMAZING.

Their Key Lime Pie is out of this world! I love their Blackberry Cabernet and Blood Orange as well. Might have to trek out the burbs for this one.

Why no love for the Harris Teeters in DC?!

oh my, that looks positively sinful

Dammit! They'll be giving out goodies at my neighborhood store when I'm downtown working. This is heartbreaking.

Still not good enough to get me to go to Virginia.
