Go Isis. I think the show is a sad regressive freak show which makes gender-equality look like a quant 20th century ideal, as well as encouraging the absolute worst sort of female competition. But.... that being said, Isis should take that show and rock the shit out of it.

The fashion industry doesn't need women. It needs "clothes hangers" to reduce material, uncertainty and tailoring. Curves are inconvenient when it comes to the runway. If every model is the same size then the "machine" runs easier. It has nothing to do with individual women. Moveover, the fashion industry supports the Health and Beauty industry... which, if you think about it drives cosmetics, cover shoots (in 2 rather than 3 D) and a gym memberships before it has anything to do with waistlines. Corporations which thrive on you, as the consumer, being dissatisfied, in order to continue purchasing their product... they are both telling the standard and the price a one-way convo if I ever heard of one. But hmmm. "Be a light unto thyself"

Hormones generally up body fat percentages for trans women to what bio women generally experience. This isn't competing with a man; Isis is a gorgeous woman, and she looks exactly on par with most women on the show body-wise. If the fashion industry these days valued women who are more plump, there would be plenty of hot trans women to represent. Open your mind up, dcgrrrl.

I'll have to agree with tomaloisi. If I had legs like that, I'd never wear pants again, but I'd get myself some kickass shoes. Now, those may be hard to find in a size 10+, but as I always say... Life is too short for ugly shoes.
