>> This Friday, 18th Street Lounge regulars See-I team up with jazz-funksters Mojai at Jammin' Java. 10 p.m. $10
>> Still in his early 20s, trumpeter and New Orleans native Christian Scott is considered the latest of the Crescent City's horn blowers whose lineage started with the legendary King Oliver and Louis Armstrong and has continued with such marquee trumpeters as Wynton Marsalis, Terence Blanchard and Nicholas Payton. He will be making his area debut as a bandleader this Friday and Saturday at the historic Bohemian Caverns, in support of his electric recent release, Anthem. Tickets to the 9 and 11 p.m. sets are $20.

>> HR-57 hosts regulars Antonio Parker and A.J. Parham this Friday and Saturday. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $12
>> Tonolec, comprised of musicians Charo Bogarín and Diego Pérez, performs in Spanish and traditional Toba chants, combining instruments and electronica. They appear Saturday on the Millennium Stage. 6 p.m. Free
>> Four Across is a young band that reflects the best of contemporary acoustic jazz. Their compositions retain the harmonic and rhythmic sophistication of jazz tradition while presenting an ensemble sound that is accessible to all. They will be at Twins Jazz on Sunday. 8 p.m. $10
>> Local Brazillian percussionist and vocalist Gigi performs on Sunday at the Bossa Bistro & Lounge. 10 p.m. Free
