From the DNC Floor: Where is Everybody?

It's just about 4 p.m. in Denver. The Democratic National Convention officially started one hour ago. The Pepsi Center is more than half empty. Granted, most of what's going on up on the stage right now is procedural. But still, where is everybody?
In the D.C. section, only two delegates were here before I arrived: Hugh Brown and Marilyn Tyler Brown of Chevy Chase. That's them pictured above. They said they got here about an hour and a half before the convention officially opened, just because they wanted to check things out. Since I got here, I've only spotted one or two other D.C. delegates wandering around.
Other state sections are similarly empty, although more and more people are gathered on the floor.
UPDATE: D.C. Democratic Party Chair Anita Bonds is here! She says I'm just naive: it's typical for most delegates not to show up until after they've eaten dinner. Nobody stays in their seats the whole time. In that case, I'm off to explore.
