Go Home Already: Drift Into The Light

- Karin Coppens, a 23-year veteran of MPD, faces Federal charges that she fraudulently billed 3,400 hours of work - collecting about $178,000 in unearned pay - over the past four years. Coppens claimed to be working on the police's photo radar program, which is designed to help the department catch speeders. [WaPo]
- Lululemon, a yoga apparel chain which apparently has a rather rabid following, is slated to open in Logan Circle at 1515 15th Street. [Prince of Petworth]
- Dear Chris Cooley: We're currently seeking music writers. Care to join the DCist staff? (We swear it has nothing to do with some sort of elaborate swap for free Skins tickets.) [The Cooley Zone]
- Theresa Cunningham Duarte, a teacher at Wootton High School in Montgomery County, has been charged with distributing cocaine to Wootton students at her home in Rockville. [WTOP]
- Around the District, we're plenty familiar with large kickball, softball, and four-square leagues; so, maybe it is time to break down the finer aspects of "wallball". [The Bellows]
- Current Miss Washington County (Md.) - who won the crown based on a call for "educating to prevent bullying" - breaks into ex-boyfriends house and punches another woman. [WJLA]
- Don't tell us that we're going down this road again: MASN has filed a complaint with the FCC claiming that Comcast refuses to air the channel in certain markets, namely Southern Virginia. [Washington Business Journal]

Hm. Sure is noisy out there.

Wow, shocker! The Prince of Petworth is reporting about something that is not IN Petworth.

Sometimes a name is just a name. Can you believe that the Washington Post has been writing about China or that DCist has been writing about the convention in Denver. The horror, the horror head for the hills.

Lululemon's other locations are Clarendon and Bethesda, and Tysons Circle. Does that mean Logan Circle's finally "made it"?! There should be a scale of yuppie-dom. So we can be sure. Like: now Logan Circle is 3 1/4 soy lattes! Let's see if it breaks the 5 lattes mark of Georgetown!

Of course... there could be the opposite ranking. How many junkpunches for H St?

PoP stopped being a strictly one neighborhood blog a lot time ago. in fact, most of what's there is not-petworth related.
