Go Home Already: The Low Post

» One scientist's dark prognostication for the future climate of Maryland: "Like Phoenix, but with humidity." So what's an ecologically sensitive state where emissions are on the rise supposed to do? Phoenix's last great plan for change involved trading energy-efficient forward Shawn Marion for an aging Shaq Diesel, who has a size 23 carbon footprint. Here's hoping for progressive solutions from Maryland (and Virginia). [Washington Post]

» Hypebeast comes correct with details on that sweet Obama tee (by UNDRCRWN) that Spike Lee was wearing yesterday on MSNBC. [Hello Negro]

» David Nakumara's busting on Mayor Fenty for missing yet another District delegation breakfast. Geez, Fenty! D.C. Democratic Party chair Anita Bonds offered that maybe Fenty had to help Obama and Biden, since he's staying at the same hotel. ("Hey, Fenty, give us a hand with this Denver omelette?") Or maybe Fenty just read in the Express that breakfast-at-lunch is the new breakfast. [D.C. Wire, Express Night Out]

» Hockey: still a sport played in America. [On Frozen Blog]

» Bike nerds are pretending that there's a cycling trail that runs along the edge of the map, from the tippy-top of Maine to the Florida Keys. New signage indicates that this pretend trail made up of path, roads, river, forest, and amber waves of grain happens to tour the National Mall. [Washington Post]

(Snogging isn't likely to be one of them: Ryan and Jill met when both were working at Murky.) Get your ghetto latte tomorrow, when the shop hard launches. [Capital Spice]

» Boeing gives a cool million to the MLK Memorial fund, nudging it closer to its final goal. But Clear Channel — which is hosting a nationwide radio fundraiser today — could undo all that good work by repeatedly exposing potential donors to the abominable Buster Busta Rhymes/Linkin Park collaboration. Hang the DJ! [Washington Post]
