Tuesday:
>> Howard alumna and American Idol background singer Sy Smith will be in town performing with local soul mainstay Wes Felton at Bohemian Caverns. Smith recently released her third album, Conflict. $5 after 8 p.m., 6 p.m.

>> Argentinian dub artist Federico Aubele will be performing at the 9:30 Club. $15, 8 p.m.

Wednesday:
>> The Rhythm & Soul series presents Ebony Jackson and Komplex. They'll be performing at Bohemian Caverns for two shows. $10 in advance/$15 at the door, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Thursday:
>> Green Tea (pictured) is on the verge of putting out her second album, Choices. Her release party, which will include her performing with her backing band, Soul Food, will be held at Bohemian Caverns. $20 includes the new CD, 8 p.m.

>> The Blacklight dance party is back again at DC9. DJing will be Stereo Faith, DJ Natty Boom, and iHall. $5, 9:30 p.m.

Saturday:
>> British trip-hop artist extraordinaire Tricky has his D.C. show at the 9:30 Club. $25, 11 p.m.
