DCist: WAMU's Bill Redlin Exits Morning Edition

I've always enjoyed listening to Bill in the morning, but it seems like over the last few months he's been having more and more days with a "froggy" voice. This morning it seemed he could barely get through a sentence without the distinct sound of phlegm build-up making it out over the airwaves. Obviously this isn't ideal for a radio personality, and I wonder if it has anything to do with him moving to later in the day. Lately, between him and Diane Rehm it's felt like I'm listening to a ham radio broadcast from the local old folks' home.

Now if only they could move Diane Rehm to the 3am shift. Her voice still sends me into siezures. Kinda awkward on the a.m. commute on the GW Parkway. "Interesting....let's go to the phones."

First we had to get used to the change from Bawlb Edwards to Renee "too perky for morning" Montagne and Steve "can't restrain the fake laugh" Inskeep, and now this? Bill, Bill, you leave us with MacKleskey... at least we have had a chance to get used to him... As long as we don't end up with Johnetta hosting "Thistle and Shamrock" or Mary Cliff hosting anything else, we'll be fine...
