Photo of the Day: September 3, 2008

Our photographers must have had their drama hats on over the long weekend, as we've seen a number of awesome staged shots in the DCist pool, like yesterday's wading man. Flickr user akkleis happened upon this "terrible accident" from the balcony of the National Building Museum. Won't someone help him up?

Far be it for me to question personal taste, but should this pic really go above the article about finding THE DEAD BODY near Union Station?

coincidences suck, eh?

Ha! That made me LOL when I saw it, too :)

if McCain wins there will be many more photo opportunities like this one.

This is the most tasteless example of cognitive synergy to appear on dcist since you stopped running those American Apparel booty shorts banner ads immediately above the article about the Pope's visit. Don't think I didn't notice the subliminal connotation of a woman's ass hovering patiently over the Holy Father's head.

Peace,

The first thing I thought of when I saw it was that it was a GI Joe doll on a regular size carpet. Then I looked closer and thought that it must be from the lost episodes of Dr. Shrinker. Only then did I realize, "HA! It's a photo of a 'corpse' right above an article about a corpse!"

And then I farted because I laughed too loudly.

thought it was a promo for "skylight"....a 2.5 hour movie composed completely of clips of all the times in american cinema where someone crashes through a skylight into the ballroom below.

Such a shame that Don Lafontaine's passed away. Would love to have heard the commercial for, "Skylight."

"In a world... where clichès fall through the ceiling in slow motion...where heroes run away from fireballs...where fruitcarts get tipped over in chase scenes...a hero will rise....

Jim Carey is the rubber-faced fartsmith...

"Where the hell are my pants?"

Kiera Knightly is the skinny white bi**h...

"No celery for me. I'm on a diet."

FROM THE DIRECTOR OF "ARMAGEDDON" AND THE MINDS BEHIND THE ATLAS GLASS COMPANY

"It's time to wash the windows...WITH TERROR!"
