MLK memorial controversial? OMFG.

hahahaha dee hunter. what a bum.

I see London, I see France.....

Yeah, it is controversial. Not because MLK might or might not deserve a memorial, but controversial because of the weird design and imagery used.

Personally, I don't understand why we need giant memorials for everything that happens in our world. It's weird to me. A small, personal, down to earth statue of MLK would be great. This figure, 30 feet tall, emerging from rock like the green lantern in business wear is just too macho and hyperactive to my tastes. And slightly creepy. We can do better.

Nice foto. "Here it is Congress. Come and get it. I loves a good filibuster. Oh, you like little boys? Too bad."

Nice, ahem *clears throat*, federal assets you got there.

I wouldn't mind gerrymandering her bailiwick in a cloakroom session. But I'd settle for her pocket vetoing my engrossed bill until I can whip her caucus in a pro forma session.

Larry Craig, still not intrested.

i can haz furburger?

I hope those circulator buses of the future have better drivers than the DC circulator who just pull their behemoths over without bothering to put any flashers on so you can't tell if it's a legit stop or just the usual making everyone else guess what the heck they're doing.

Real estate really is a lot cheaper in Anacostia.

Gee, I wonder why.

I can see Bush from here.

My name's monkeyrotica and I approve this gratuitous beaver shot.

I guess it's true that that thing comes with a manual.
