While military service is undoubtedly stressful and may lead to relationships conducted outside of marriage, I hardly see the need for a federal agency to regulate it.

On second thought, this reaction sounds pretty standard. But I have noticed lots of people jumping at loud noises and speculating out loud about possible terror connections to everyday events.
