>> Seattle soul singer Choklate has built a strong following on the U.S. indie soul scene after the release of her self-titled debut album. Joining her at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly, MD will be fellow Seattle artist Darrius Willrich. $25 in advance, 7:30 p.m.

>> Chris Burns and Maximillion Dunbar rekindle an appreciation for the Larry Levan sound and the quality dance music of the 1970s and early 1980s at the Rock and Roll Hotel's Hotel Bar. Free, 9:30 p.m.

>> As a part of National Geographic's All Roads Film Festival, Somalia-born, Toronto-based artist K'naan will be performing at the National Geographic Society. Free, 9 p.m.

Isn't the K'Naan show on FRIDAY and not Thursday?

Yes, K'naan is Friday NOT Thursday.
