Your Weekend Metro Track Work Delays

2008_0904_trackwork.jpgHuzzah! It's time for your weekend track work announcements. As always, plan accordingly so you don't end up leaving expletive-laden comments here on Monday morning. We've got enough angst to contend with.

Red Line:
Track maintenance between the Friendship Heights and Medical Center stations will add delays of up to 20 minutes, as trains will share one track between those stations from 10 p.m., Friday, September 5, to closing (midnight) on Sunday, September 7. Every other Red Line train in the direction of the Shady Grove will also terminate at Friendship Heights and return to Glenmont.

Blue and Orange Lines:
Thinking of heading to Eastern Market? Keep in mind the track work planned between the Eastern Market station and Stadium-Armory. WMATA is estimating delays of 20 minutes while trains share one track between the two from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
