I voted for him in 2000 in oh-so-safe DC (he more than doubled Bush's vote in my precinct.) Funny story: I saw him at the poles in 2004 (he was walking by, I was working them) and he said "if DC had any sense they'd elect Catania for Mayor". My reply was "Thanks, Ralph, by the way I voted for you in 2000".
