HA!!!!....I voted today (VA)...and the worker there said it has been crazy busy with huge lines....On a side note. I have notice the Obama campaign outside my metro stop everyday for a month registering voters; usually 5 or 6 strong. On the other hand I notice the McCain campaign twice, with 1 or 2 underwhelm workers.

imgoph - of course. we should live-tweet it, too, huh?

and, true, i could call my new council member, but i guess the point is that i shouldn't have to...and throwing a temper tantrum in public sounds like more fun.

jaime: please, please, please let me be there to get pictures of that.

and call your council member and tell him that, as a constituent, you demand satisfaction!

smperk - yep, happened to me last week, too...i mailed in a change of address a couple of weeks ago. checked the website, and it says there are duplicate entries for me at my new ZIP and nothing at my old ZIP, so i called just to confirm and see if they could delete the dupe.

dude on the phone tells me the website's not as up-to-date as his computer, and that i'm still registered at my old address. i say, "no, yours can't be more up-to-date if the website says i don't exist at my old address." he says yes, i say no and this continues for about 5 minutes. then he tells me to call back friday and then hangs up on me. dcboee super-FAIL.

not only do i want to be able to vote in the presidential election, it's REALLY important that i get to vote for my ANC-2C candidate.

needless to say, i am beyond pissed and am gearing up to throw a huge, public, and possibly arrestable stink about this on election day if i can't vote in my new precinct (not to mention my fear of not being able to vote AT ALL in dc).

yeah, I'm registered to vote but changed addresses. I've been calling the BOEE for over a month now to confirm receipt of my signed paperwork.

Now when you call today to speak to a rep-- you get hung-up on.
