Friday:
>> Howard alum Eric Roberson is in town for a special homecoming show at the intimate Bohemian Caverns. Joining him will be rising soul star, Algebra. $20 in advance, 8 p.m.

>> Go-go godfather Chuck Brown will be performing at Strathmore in North Bethesda. $25-$45, 8 p.m.

>> A legend on the house music scene, Chicago native Ron Trent (pictured) will have a set at The Warehouse Loft Studio at 411 New York Ave. NE, with openers Chris Burns and Adrian Loving. $10, 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> It's mid-October, so it's time for another Black President's Day. For last year's celebration of Fela Kuti's music, Rich Medina came down I-95 to headline and he'll be doing the same this time around. Joining in on the Kuti tribute at the Warehouse Loft Studio (411 New York Avenue NE) will be the SoulControllers, I:Wah, and Shoboy. $20 in advance/$25 at the door/$30 after 11 p.m., 10 p.m.

Sunday:
>> AutoTune's favorite artist, T-Pain, will be joining forces with T.I. for a show at Fairfax's Patriot Center. $40-$120, 7:30 p.m.

Monday:
>> Philadelphia's Musiq Soulchild has had a strong following since his debut in the beginning of this decade. His Sunday show at the Birchmere sold out, but there are still tickets available for his Monday set. $55, 7:30 p.m.

>> Talib Kweli, David Banner, and newcomer B.o.B. headline the Hip-Hop Live tour at the 9:30 Club. $25, 10 p.m.
