Case Closed on D.C. Madam's Suicide
Looks like the story on the D.C. Madam has, finally, come to a close. The police in Tarpon Springs, Fla. are officially ending their investigation into Deborah Palfrey's death, confirming it was indeed suicide. Palfrey hanged herself back in May, after being convicted in April for money laundering, racketeering, and using the mail for illegal purposes. The charges were in connection with her California call girl firm, Pamela Martin & Associates, which may have employed at least 132 D.C. area women.
According to Fox News, she had received her pre-incarceration paperwork and watched videos of her deceased father the day before she killed herself. The Tarpon Springs police report is lengthy, at 48 pages with 400 crime scene photos, to confirm that Palfrey was not, as it was rumored, murdered.

Good thing I don't believe anything I read on the Internet.

The prosecutors in her case have blood-stained hands. Hands, heck, make that up to their elbows!

it's pathetic in the worst way (first definition)

I still think she faked her death, took on a new identity on the other side of the country, bought some new frames, and used her little black book as leverage for a vice presidential spot on the ticket.
You gotta admit, it makes just as much sense as any other explanation for Palin's presence on the ticket.

damn, cminus, that has to win conspiracy theory of the week!

Only the foulness of your conspiracy programming will keep you from seeing the real truth: that Vince Foster faked his own death, got a sex change in Guatamala, and opened a brothel in DC only to be driven to suicide. There is no other explanation.
Except maybe a quantum wormhole.

Wow, I guess I am too late for this one. Two people have already said what I was going to say!
So I'll say my comments anyway.
Thank you, Fenster1977, for pointing out the hung/hanged situation. And thank you, cminus for noting that Palfrey looks like Palin.
As for an original comment, she was convicted of using the mail for illegal purposes? I think some of random companies that send me some of the junk mail I receive might be guilty of this heinous violation of moral sensibility.

Pre-incarceration paperwork?! Really, Really!? REALLY?...Even going to jail has too much red tape.

Hanged.... already noted twice but I guess, so long as commenters point it out, it doesn't actually have to be fixed in the text?

Sorry guys, I'm busy writing more articles with typos for you guys to freak out over. Should be fixed in a minute.

This was the stupidest prosecution ever. Why should we care that she organized prostitutes? Was there even any hint that she mistreated them, that there was fraud involved, etc?
The entire trial was selective moralistic bullshit.
We are all prostitutes, at some level.

Mmmmm....typos. Like tapas, but Greek.

Hey grammar police: hanged is correct. It's AP Style.
