Case Closed on D.C. Madam's Suicide

2008_0415_palfrey.jpgLooks like the story on the D.C. Madam has, finally, come to a close. The police in Tarpon Springs, Fla. are officially ending their investigation into Deborah Palfrey's death, confirming it was indeed suicide. Palfrey hanged herself back in May, after being convicted in April for money laundering, racketeering, and using the mail for illegal purposes. The charges were in connection with her California call girl firm, Pamela Martin & Associates, which may have employed at least 132 D.C. area women.

According to Fox News, she had received her pre-incarceration paperwork and watched videos of her deceased father the day before she killed herself. The Tarpon Springs police report is lengthy, at 48 pages with 400 crime scene photos, to confirm that Palfrey was not, as it was rumored, murdered.
