Draft of Declaration of Independence Cycling Out of LOC

2008_1029_loc.jpgYou've only got a few hours left to get over to the Library of Congress to get a look at the original rough draft of the Declaration of Independence. The draft, which was written by Thomas Jefferson and edited by John Adams and Ben Franklin, is being cycled out of the “Creating the United States” exhibit at the end of the day today, for at least the next few years. It's being replaced by George Mason’s Virginia Declaration of Rights. The exhibition is open today until 5 p.m. in the Southwest Gallery on the 2nd Floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building. After that, you can still check out the draft of the Declaration of Independence online.

they have rights in virginia?

This is a great exhibit. You can actually see where Thomas Jefferson wrote "America" and crossed out "Pimps, Playas, and Mac Daddies," I can only assume at Sally Hemmings request.

So are those rights only for the real Virginia (Southern Virginia)?

are they giving Sarah Palin a copy to read?

Not another controvery over cycling!

I thought Bush had burned it?

some one should roll it up and smack President Bush on nose saying

"Bad Drunk!! Bad Drunk!!"

The rub his nose in the mess that is the economy and Iraq.

Its the only way they learn.
