Via the Baltimore Sun, it appears as though an unfortunate confluence of scheduling and NFL rules could lead to you missing the start of this Sunday's Washington Redskins game against the Browns. The NFL mandates that local CBS affiliate WUSA must show the Ravens-Dolphins game in its entirety if the game remains close -- which could mean that it would cut into the 4:15 p.m. kickoff of the 'Skins game. It seems crazy that a team as popular as the Redskins could be preempted in their own television market, but apparently WUSA has no way to get out of its contractual agreement with the NFL on this matter. Pray for a Ravens blowout?

Can someone please explaim to me why in a town of transients the stupid Redsknis are so popular?
I don't know who the "Redsknis" are but in DC we have a football team called the Redskins that feed off the piss-poor souls of said transients, and bitch-asses like you. Suck it!
Because outside your world there are a lot of native regional Washingtonians. Plus not ever transient had a pro-football team back home.
Using my sleuthing skills, I'll deduce that with a username like "tribepridewm," the original commenter is an Indians fan and therefore from Cleveland.
If I indeed deduce correctly, I would also like to assume that he/she is practicing his/her bitterness so that he/she is well-prepared after his/her beloved Browns lose at the hands of the Washington Redskins, the team for whom this certain native regional Washingtonian grew up loving and will support until the day he dies.
In all seriousness, let's hope for a Ravens blowout (i.e. the Ravens get blown out) so that we can enjoy the Skins game in its entirety. That would be swell.
It is true that there are a lot of transients in this area due to the nature of work that there is to be found here. But, like RJ said, not everyone who lives here came here from somewhere else. Or maybe they came here some time ago and consider it to be home instead of just seeing DC as a temporary stop on their way to whatever.
I don't think there is anything wrong with transient folks rolling through town as a way towards career advancement. I do think that to say that this is simply a town of transients would be like spending all of your time in Europe hanging out only with the other study abroad kids then saying that Europe is full of nothing but americans.
my point is Redskins rule! and that game better start on time.

Or maybe a William & Mary Tribe fan. Or both.
Cleveland Rocks.
It rocks everyday.
Especially on Sundays.
Start your cryin' now, Skins fans.
You'll need more than a quantum of solace after this Sunday.
The fault must lie with Peter Angelos.
A town of transients...no wonder there are no more hang-outs for the townies. Booo Starbucks.
(someone whispers)..."but you still have Ben's Chili Bowl."
