I got the same thing and asked my friend who works on the campaign how Johnny Mac got this bleeding heart's email. He said the campaign has bought a bunch of email lists, which seems legit. Annoying, but legit.

I got one, ugh. Also, like Elle, I was a bit vexed that there were no options on the unsubscribe page like "I'm terribly sorry; you must've subscribed me by mistake, assface."

I've been on the Republican presidential campaign mailing list since 2000 when I signed up for alerts from both Gore and Bush as part of my job -- I was monitoring their stands on a particular issue. The Democrats seemed to drop my email off their lists after the 2000 election. But steadily over the last eight years I get all the Republican propaganda. The email flurry has been especially heavy this past week.

Got one too. I've not received a single email from either candidate this cycle and then this morning there was an email from McCain waiting for me. Looks like he's sending unsolicited spam - real classy. McCain pals around with spammers?

Interesting. I got one, but I'm on his North Carolina press list (don't ask) so I figured that's how he got my address. I can't imagine what list I'm on that would make me look like someone who could possibly vote for McCain.

*shudder* I got one and went to follow their unsubcribe link...but my options where three "I'm a McCain supporter but blah blah I get too much e-mail anyway" and one "I'm no longer a McCain supporter." Where the eff was the "My political leanings place me way out in left field, so where the eff did you get my address?!"
