Gawd. I can't believe William Jordan is now an ANC commissioner. That means the ANC meetings will be four hours long as he filibusters every motion that is put forward by the sometimes sensible, generally non-racist, consipiracist members of the ANC. Well, anyway, sometimes having a total lunatic on the ANC (like Frank Winstead) is what's needed to get someone else to step up. I'm sure he will be a one-termer. I've been not reading his completely unintelligible diatribes for years now. The idea of this guy actually having the right to make other people listen to him (whereas we used to just be able to click "delete") is scary.

Good riddance to Frank Winstead, but in case you missed it, a similar character was elected ANC representative for the central Columbia Heights area: William Jordan. Yes, that William Jordan, famous for spamming blogs, listservs and message boards with conspiracy theories, anti-Jim Graham and anti-development rants. Taking away a harmless ping-pong table or objecting to benches are right up his alley. Too bad he ran unopposed.

I'm getting a conflicting message in this election: Lesson learned from the ANC3F04 race: don't be an a$$hole. Lesson learned from the Ward 8 race: unless you're Marion Barry. Really interested in seeing what Ward 8 does once Barry decides to stop running. Who am I kidding? He'll come back from the dead JUST LIKE JESUS and he'll KEEP gettin re-elected, even though Zombie Barry continues to suck the brains of infants through their eyesockets to feed his unnatural lust for sweet, delicious baby's brains.
