Thursday:
>> Anthony Hamilton has become one of the most highly regarded R&B artists of the past several years with his rough-around-the-edges vocals. He'll be performing at the Lincoln Theatre. $65, 7 p.m.

Friday:
>> As one of the better known DJs in the country, Z-Trip has been impressing crowds with his turntable skills for the better part of this decade. His Rock and Roll Hotel show is a make-up from a previous cancellation and will feature local opening acts DJs Deep Sang & Meistro and Stylus. $20, 9 p.m.

>> D.C.'s own Fort Knox Five will be holding the release party for their album, Radio Free D.C., at the 9:30 Club. $15, 10 p.m.

Sunday:
>> After crafting their first album over the internet, Phonte and Nicolay are now both making music in North Carolina, including their latest Foreign Exchange (pictured) release, Leave It All Behind. In addition to their show at the Black Cat, the duo will be featured in a DCist interview Friday. Assisting Foreign Exchange vocally will be D.C. native YahZarah, while New Zealander and nu-jazz/broken beat producer Mark de Clive-Lowe will serve as the opening act. $18, 8 p.m.

Monday:
>> Maxwell has been incognito for years. The NYC crooner who made a lasting impact with a slew of late-1990s ballads is back and is kicking off a three night stand with special guest Jazmine Sullivan at Constitution Hall. It's a sold out performance, but Craigslist has some potential ticket options. $60-$150, 8 p.m.
