Actually, the first (and thus far only) time I've ever been to a Murky's, I did ask about the $5 hot chocolate, explaining that it was my first time there. The female counterperson explained it to me without snark, or threat of junkpunches. It was pretty much as a I figured: one of those hot chocolates where it's not so much a drink as it is a cup full of hot brownie batter. TropicalStormMarion: you can get Pepperidge Farms' newly licensed in the US take on Tim Tams at your local Target. For your typical daily hot chocolate (as opposed to some major gourmet adventure with sugared violets and whatnot), I enjoy the hot chocolate from Baked & Wired. It's made with actual chocolate, versus the chocolate syrup that a lot of the coffee places use.

Oddly, the hot chocolate at Lorraine's (in the Pentagon, second floor, third corridor) is some of the best I've ever had.
