I saw this movie at the Georgetown screening last week and it is absolutely amazing! My friend works for Fox Searchlight and a fun tidbit about the movie that she shared with me is that two of the young actors who play Salim and Latika as kids are actually from the slums of Mumbai. They had never acted before and in return for their acting, they are now in school and will receive more payment if they are still in school when they turn 16. Best movie I have seen all year and most of the people in the film are new faces!
