Veterans Day Events in D.C.

If you're still looking for a place to honor our nation's veterans later today, here's a few suggestions:

Vietnam Veterans Memorial: Always one of the most well attended Veterans ceremonies. A color guard, speakers and a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. This year's ceremony will also mark the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial.

Arlington National Cemetery: This is the official national Veterans Day service, which includes the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. It starts at 11 a.m. and is usually packed, so if you're not there already, you're going to miss it. You can still visit the cemetery today during regular hours, however: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Navy Memorial: There will be a wreath laying ceremony at 1 p.m. performed by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard and Navy Band, and at 2:30 p.m., a “World War II Radio Show” live concert, including sing-alongs to popular 1940s hits such as “Don’t Sit Under the Appletree”, “Sentimental Journey”, and “I’ll Be Seeing You”.

Air Force Memorial: The Secretary of the Air Force is hosting a wreath laying ceremony at 1 p.m.
