I just don't get this move when the Lerners and Bowden have been preaching "The Plan" for a few years now. This doesn't fit into The Plan. And if we've learned anything from the Os, it should be that throwing cash at a slugger does not bring wins to your baseball team.

I'd like to see more movement by the owners to improve this team, but I want it to be intelligent moves. And in my opinion, when you have the worst team in baseball, overpaying a slugger does not qualify as a smart move.

Not happening. Boras is going to spend a month or so playing the Yanks, Sox, Nats, O's and Halos against each other, constantly jacking up the price each go-round. In the end, my gut feeling is that he'll sign with Boston, given that the Yanks have already signed CC and Burnett, which breaks my dyed-in-the-wool-Angel-fan heart.

The fans deserve some big time movement, and this would be a great step forward. It's about that time after the new owners took over and they've had some time to plan the future, where it's time to start competing. I just hope that the offer, if it doesn't work out, is not a one time action and we continue to make some plays for big time personnel. It would also be smart on their part to make some waves now while people are deciding whether to buy or upgrade their season ticket packages.
