Girls Found in Freezer Died of Asphyxiation

Both WTOP and the Post have stories up on the findings of medical examiner in the case of the two girls who were found in the freezer in their mother's home in Calvert County in September. Both girls died from asphyxiation, according to the official report. The mother, Renee Bowman, previously told police that one of the girls died of starvation and the other died after a fall. She has not been charged in their deaths, though she is currently being held on child abuse charges related to a third daughter who is still living.

so now, do they wait until they have evidence that their asphyxiation deaths are her doing?

With some effort, perseverence, and just a little pixie dust, maybe she can kill that last daughter of hers.

WTF is wrong with people?

I didn't realize that she had claimed one had died of starvation. As her mother, wouldn't she have been on the hook for that too?

Maybe letting your child starve vs. strangling her is a manslaughter/homocide distinction.

Such a shame that Eddie Eagle can't be everywhere!

Eddie Eagle says, if you see yo' mama:
Stop what you're doing!
Don't touch her or her stash.
Leave the crib immediately.
Snitches get stitches.

They were found in a chest freezer. Most likely they asphyxiated in there.
I think I'm at the point where I'm like: "Yeah, this is as horrible as I care to imagine. I don't need to know any more about this."

I hope the Calvert County public defender knows a thing or two about home cyronics; really her best bet at this stage.

I don't know if you guys do a "This Year in F*ed Up Crime" roundup, but if you do I nominate this for the Gold medal. Followed by the burger shooting for silver and the parking space shooting for bronze.
