2008_1222_metroxmas.jpgFor those of you staying in the city all through the holidays, here's how it's going to work on Metro, via today's press release from WMATA:

Wednesday, December 24:
Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess will all operate on a normal weekday schedule.

Thursday, December 25:
Metrorail is on a Sunday schedule, opening at 7 a.m. and closing at midnight. Additionally, all trains will operate with only four cars. All Metrobuses will also be on Sunday schedules, so refer to Sunday timetables. MetroAccess will operate normally, but all subscription trips are canceled.

Wednesday, December 31:
Metrorail will be on a weekday schedule, opening at 5 a.m. and staying open two hours later than normal, closing at 2 a.m. Metrobus and MetroAccess will be on normal weekday schedules.

Thursday, January 1
Just like Christmas Day, Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule, opening at 7 a.m. and closing at midnight, and trains will operate with only four cars. Metrobuses will be on Sunday schedules, and MetroAccess subscription trips are canceled.
