>> At the Randall Scott Gallery, find Etsuko Ichikawa's large "pyrographs," images made from fiery burns of blown molten glass as the tendrils fall and bubbles burst on the paper. See them at the reception on Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m.

>> Down a block at Irvine Contemporary, see their second Aspect:Ratio show, focusing on small works in various media. Check out art by familiar names such as Kahn & Selesnick, Susan Jamison, and Jiha Moon at the reception Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.

>> And yes, down just one more block, 1506 14th Street NW, see The Pink Line Project's newest venture, Lifeguard, featuring work by Lisa Marie Thalhammer and DECOY. The opening is Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. with music by DJ Natty Boom and Yoko K, with paintings produced live by the two artists raffled off to benefit the Sitar Arts Center.

>> Over at District Fine Arts, see the celebratory and voyeuristic paintings of Leah Tinari in Masquerade Madness. Reception Saturday, 5 to 8 p.m., with an artist talk starting at 5:30 p.m.
