Construction Worker Dead After Fall

The AP is reporting that a worker at a construction site at a nine-story building at North Capitol and K Streets fell to his death this afternoon. The worker, whose identity has not yet been released, was operating a miniature backhoe when the machine rolled out of the side of the building and fell 80 feet with the man trapped inside. His death is being investigated by the MPD and OSHA. No one else was injured.

what, there was so much trash in the building that shoveling it was deemed too inefficient?
