LeBron James has an arsenal of moves in his repertoire, and with the game on the line on Sunday against the hapless Wizards, he chose "the crab dribble," which can also be called "taking three steps while going to the hole." Result? A surprising traveling call and a win for the Wizards. Witness!
Unsurprisingly, LeBron was not amused.
"I took a 'crab' dribble, which is a hesitation dribble and then two steps," James said. James believes he perfectly executed a jump stop on the play, but was still called for traveling. "It's a play you don't see much in the NBA," he said. "You have your trademark plays, and that's one of mine."
Whatever, it's a walk.
Oh, and DeShawn and LeBron still don't like each other, blahblahblah.
The Wizards are now 7-25 for the season, but 1-1 in 2009. We can build on this!

And Now, 10-20 Inches

Wow. Even Joe Biden would have been impressed with that kind of traveling. Nice moves, LeBron.
This is a rare find indeed. I thought they stopped calling traveling in the NBA sometime during the early 1990s.
Clearly the ref had a ton of money on the wizards.
wow, i haven't paid attention to the NBA for 15 years, but it's nice to hear that they've decided to call traveling again. didn't think they'd done that since the days before i was born...
An arsenal in his repertoire, huh? Penalty time out for mixed metaphors!
"It's a play you don't see much in the NBA," he said. "You have your trademark plays, and that's one of mine."
How does that work exactly? It's rare and often used by the league's biggest star?
If you multiplied the teams records as fractions, you'd get 1.
Boom.
