We hear that the National Mall east of 14th Street is at capacity.

Arlington police have closed the 14th Street bridge. No pedestrians are being allowed across because the bridge is too full. The Memorial Bridge and Key Bridge are still open to pedestrians.

Danielle Miklos reports on her experience from 7th and E Streets NW: "Everyone was piled up and we couldn't move, you couldn't see in front of you, from wherever you were you couldn't see why we were stopped. Eventually people started chanting, "Open the gate!", even though there is no checkpoint right there. No one was moving at all, except for the people who were giving up and leaving. So I went back and I tried a different area. The streets are just full."
